I still have Live at the Mansion at CD Baby – and they are still a great store and distribution center (they have the connections to get you music on Amazon, iTunes, Rapsody, etc) – but Bandcamp will allow me to post singles more cost-effectively.

Heading into studio with the Gloria Darlings!

I’m extremely excited to be heading into a marathon recording weekend with the Gloria Darlings this weekend. We’re hoping to come out on Sunday evening with a CD for their release concert in late May at the Tractor Tavern!
Wish us luck. They are still raising funds at kickstarter.com – throw ‘em a few bucks if you can.

Old projects! New projects!

Music is flying around all over!
Deb Seymour and I in the final stages of finishing her recording. It’s been a long road for her on this projects with many challenges, but Deb is coming residing over all of them with a great new CD. We’re mixing now – hoping to have in the can by the end of the month!

In new project news, Eva Tree is off and running on her new project. We had our first pre-production meeting today. Let me tell you Eva fans, you’re gonna love this one. I’m very happy to be working on this recording – we have some exciting things planned (trumpets anyone?) She’s a busy lady so we might take the spring and summer to get it done – but keep an eye out this fall for finished product.

More updates soon – including CD release for my friend jean mann AND the beginnings of own recording project.

Happy New Year.

In just a few days we’ll have a new year. 2010 has been a doozy. The film is finished, a friend of mine actually HEARD “Fly the Moon” while waiting on the City of Seattle’s phone line (I think it was about an electric bill), I have a new band with some phenomenal people (who just happen to be amazing musicians as well), we’ve played some new venues (those of you who missed the club in Fife… well, there was Patron), produced a few songs, wrote a few songs and helped dig out a new water main. 2011 is looking just as amazing. Keep an eye out for a CD project in partnership with the film and a new digital recording of the new band.

I’m honored to be working with 108 Productions in L.A. on their documentary Corpus Christi: Playing with Redemption. I’ll be writing, performing and recording all the music for the film. We have the rough cut into Sundance and will finish in November. It’s been great fun so far, and this is a fine group of folks to be working with. Hempfest a great freakfest

Adrian and I had a great time playing Hempfest – both first-timers. The best self-policing of a festival that I’ve seen in the United States (yes, Canadians are all over it, but we’re still learning). And HUGE. Catch it next year if you’ve never been – but be sure to take a bus or if weather allows, your bike.
